The European leg of SOCIAL DISTORTION's "Born To Kill" tour is now underway, marking a significant milestone for the band's commitment to environmental sustainability.

As part of their efforts, SOCIAL DISTORTION has become the first band to utilize new t-shirt blanks made from recycled materials on their European tour.

These 100% recycled cotton t-shirts and hoodies are the result of an ambitious program initiated by Bravado, in collaboration with Universal Music Group's sustainability team.

The project involved upcycling over 400,000 unsold t-shirts and other merchandise items in Bravado's warehouse via a cargo ship to Tangiers, Morocco.

The old merch items were then broken down and spun into new yarn at Hallotex, a company globally known for its sustainable textile processes.

This six-week process yielded an estimated 280,000 new recycled cotton t-shirt and hoodie blanks, which are now being utilized by Bravado artists on their European tours.

SOCIAL DISTORTION's lead singer Mike Ness emphasized the band's dedication to reducing its environmental footprint: "It's important to everyone in the band that we always do what we can to reduce our impact on the environment...

Using these 100% recycled blanks for t-shirts on our tour is an easy way to do just that." This sustainable initiative has been welcomed by artists and fans alike, with many eagerly awaiting the opportunity to purchase merch items made from recycled materials.

As Bravado CEO Matt Young noted, "There are a huge number of artists that have been waiting for this kind of sustainable option for merch on their tours." The European leg of SOCIAL DISTORTION's tour culminates on July 4 in Dresden, Germany, before the band picks up its North American tour dates starting with a July 16 show at the Ottawa Blues Festival.
