SOIL has confirmed the completion of its first new original album since 2013's "Whole" release. The band, which last released a full-length record in 2013, has finalized a new studio album after an extended writing and recording session. The project was developed entirely in Nashville at Sienna Studios, formerly known as Quadraphonic Studios, and involved a complete retooling of the band's operations. A new record deal with Shelter Music Group and a new management team have been secured, marking a full revival of the band. The new album is expected to feature material that surpasses the band's 2001 'Scars' record and includes at least one song that matches or exceeds the quality of 'Halo'.

The band cited a shift in creative process as a key factor in the project's success. After years of remote collaboration through digital file sharing, which they described as 'stale', SOIL decided to return to in-person rehearsals and live songwriting. The process was conducted in a traditional rehearsal setting, with band members physically interacting, playing riffs, and refining material in real time. This approach, they said, produced a more cohesive and energetic musical output that reflects the band's classic sound while incorporating modern elements.

SOIL has confirmed the full album will be released in January 2027. The first single from the new record will be released this year. All production and recording have been completed, and the band is awaiting final announcements on launch timing. The release follows the 2023 'Restoration' project, which compiled the band's most iconic hits, and the 2022 'Play It Forward' album, which featured songs that influenced the band's evolution.

Frontman Ryan McCombs remains active with SOIL and is also set to continue performing with DROWNING POOL.
