In a new interview with Meltdown of Detroit's WRIF radio station, ICE NINE KILLS frontman Spencer Charnas shared personal anecdotes about the band's time touring stadiums around the world with METALLICA in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Charnas recalled how his love of horror was 'birthed' as well as his love of metal while discussing his experiences on the iconic tour.

As transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET: "It took us a little while to get our sea legs, especially with a stage like that that's so unusual," Charnas said regarding METALLICA's in-the-round stage design.

"It's like a big donut." He also mentioned that the video monitors helped the band work more efficiently during their performances.

Charnas previously discussed the METALLICA touring experience during a January 2024 interview with Mike Hsu of the 100 FM The Pike radio station, stating how it takes him back to when he first saw METALLICA in '97.

He reminisced about the iconic concert at Fleet Center where Lars Ulrich drank a beer on stage and there was an incident involving a pyrotechnic mishap.

Charnas also spoke about the advice METALLICA's frontman James Hetfield gave them: "He goes, 'You guys figure out how to use the stage yet?'" He praised METALLICA for being nice to ICE NINE KILLS and showing them the way of taking care of other bands when they come up.

In related news, ICE NINE KILLS released a new single, "Twisting The Knife", taken from the soundtrack of horror blockbuster "Scream 7" in February.
