At last weekend's Download festival, SPINESHANK vocalist Jonny Santos revealed that the band is working on new music.

In an interview with TotalRock, Santos stated that the band has several songs in the works and plans to record them soon.

He mentioned that there's been a lot of enthusiasm from fans for new material, particularly from younger fans who are discovering the band through their parents.

The band has been touring with their latest lineup, which includes guitarist Tommy Decker Jr., to celebrate their 25th anniversary since the release of their sophomore album 'The Height Of Callousness' in 2000.

However, guitarist Jason Hager stepped away from the tour due to health issues earlier this year.

Despite these challenges, SPINESHANK has been making waves again with their reunion show at Jake's Sports Cafe & Backroom in Lubbock, Texas on July 9.

SPINESHANK's music is known for its heavy sound and meaningful lyrics.

The band took a hiatus after releasing their fourth album 'Anger Denial Acceptance' in 2012 via Century Media Records.

Their third LP, 'Self-Destructive Pattern', was released in September 2003 to critical acclaim.

The band has been nominated for several awards, including a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for their song 'Smothered'.

Despite these accolades, the band's future remains uncertain.

The interview provided no further insight into their plans or timeline for new music.
