Steve Hackett of Genesis and Steve Rothery of Marillion have announced the release of their collaborative instrumental album The Roaring Waves.

The album, which features seven original compositions, will be released on August 28 via InsideOutMusic.

It was developed over nearly a decade through organic improvisation and shared musical exploration, with recording sessions held at Racket Club and both artists' home studios.

The record is described as cinematic and atmospheric, emphasizing mood and imagination over traditional rock structures.

A new single, 'Red Dragon,' has been released with a music video directed by Simon Ward.

The track features a hurdy gurdy, guitar riffs by Rothery, and sitar guitar by Hackett.

The album includes a limited CD+Blu-ray mediabook edition with Dolby Atmos and high-resolution stereo mixes, as well as a standard CD and a gatefold 180g vinyl pressing cut at Abbey Road Studios by Miles Showell.

All editions feature artwork by Simon Ward.

The album is available for pre-order at https://stevehackettsteverothery.lnk.to/TheRoaringWaves-Album.

Track titles include The Storm, Sandsend, Red Dragon, The Roaring Waves, K-129, The Black Sea, and Pacific Coast Highway."
