Renowned musician and producer Steven Wilson has opened up about his upcoming album in an interview with Immersive Audio Album.

Describing the record as a ""complete opposite"" of his previous work, Wilson explains that it will be a more insular and conceptual release, featuring sound design elements and lo-fi sounds to create a particular atmosphere.

The album is said to have been tracked in mono and utilize spring reverbs, with Wilson playing drums on some tracks himself.

This new record marks a departure from Wilson's typical approach, which often involves layered productions and overdubbing.

Additionally, Wilson has launched Headphone Dust, an online platform offering high-resolution editions of his work, including the full 2025 European leg of his "The Overview" tour mixed in Dolby Atmos.
