Stone Temple Pilots has confirmed it is not currently working on a new studio album, according to singer Jeff Gutt.

The band has not officially announced plans to record a new album, and no specific timeline has been set for such a project.

Gutt stated that any recording efforts would occur organically, rather than being scheduled or planned in advance.

He emphasized that the band members, including Robert DeLeo and Dean DeLeo, have established solo projects that provide them with creative outlets, and these activities are a significant part of their current musical focus.

Gutt also confirmed that he remains actively involved in music creation outside of STP, including work on a project titled WE ARE NOT MACHINES with Evanescence drummer Will Hunt and producer Bob Marlette.

The project, which was previously abandoned, is set to be completed soon due to Gutt's strong inclination to finish works he starts.

Stone Temple Pilots released its first all-acoustic album, Perdida, in February 2020, marking Gutt’s second recording with the group.

The band continues to perform live, with the possibility of future tours remaining open, though no official tour dates have been announced.

The group has maintained a consistent presence through live shows, with a history of performing classic material.

The band’s lineup includes original members Robert DeLeo and Dean DeLeo, along with drummer Eric Kretz.

Scott Weiland, the original vocalist, died in December 2015, and Chester Bennington, who joined in 2013, departed in 2016 and died in 2017.

No official reunion or new project has been confirmed beyond the current creative activities of the members."
