Long-running Canadian rockers Streetheart have announced the passing of their former lead guitarist, John Hannah.
Hannah joined Streetheart in 1979 and played a crucial role in the band's creative process until his departure in 1981.
He contributed to many classic Streetheart songs, including "Hollywood," "Trouble," and "Drugstore Dancer." Hannah also recorded with Streetheart on three albums: Under Heaven Over Hell, Quicksand Shoes, and Drugstore Dancer.
The guitarist was part of the band when they received their JUNO Award for Most Promising Group in 1980.
Streetheart has shared a heartfelt tribute to Hannah, remembering him as a soulful and spiritual person who maintained long-time friendships after leaving the band.
