Stryper frontman Michael Sweet has provided an update to fans about the band's upcoming studio album.
In a recent statement, Sweet revealed that the new album is currently in production and will feature eleven tracks.
The record is described as a more traditional metal album, with huge guitar tones and a thick, fat sound.
This marks the band's 18th studio album, with Sweet stating it's their best work to date.
A single, titled "I'm Alright (I'm Okay)," is set to be released next Tuesday, May 26, along with a lyric video.
A music video for the second song will also follow soon.
The album update comes on the heels of Stryper's recent performance at The Frontiers Rock Festival in Italy, where they played their entire set despite some technical issues.
Michael Sweet expressed gratitude to fans who stuck around to see the band play and apologized for any inconvenience caused by the sound problems.
He also took a moment to praise the enthusiasm of the Italian crowd and thanked Serafino and everyone at Frontiers Music srl for having Stryper perform.
The album is expected to be released later this year.
