In a new interview with Frontiers Music Srl's 'Backstage Unplugged' podcast, STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet spoke about his drive to keep putting out new music, whether it's with his long-running Christian metal band or with the various other projects he has pursued over the years.

He discussed how the music landscape has changed since their heyday in the 1980s and how they've adapted to stay relevant, citing their recent album "When We Were Kings" as a success story.

Sweet also touched on his approach to writing new material, aiming to strike a balance between classic sound and modern touches without alienating long-time fans.

Additionally, he talked about finishing vocals for STRYPER's upcoming follow-up album, slated for release later this year via Frontiers Music Srl.

Meanwhile, Michael's solo album "The Master Plan" is set to drop on April 3, 2026.

The band, which has been active since 1980 and is founded on Isaiah 53:5 scripture from the Bible, features Michael on vocals alongside Oz Fox (guitar), Robert Sweet (drums) and Perry Richardson (bass).

Their impressive discography includes hits like "To Hell With The Devil", "Second Coming", and "No More Hell To Pay".

Despite facing numerous challenges over the years, STRYPER remains a force to be reckoned with in the metal scene.
