Heavy hitters Kirk Windstein and Kenny Hickey have announced that their new band SUN DONT SHINE will release its debut full-length album, Birth To Death, on April 1 via Corpse Paint Records.

The album's latest single, "Power To Live", is out now and features a striking cover artwork collaboration with visual artist Nadiya Vizier.

The song is described as a fierce and unflinching track that confronts humanity's refusal to learn from its own violent history while defiantly clinging to survival, awareness, and the will to keep going.

Written by Hickey and Windstein, "Power To Live" was recorded at OCD Studios in the summer of 2025, produced by Duane Simoneaux, co-produced by Vinnie LaBella, and executive produced by Andrew Spaulding.

SUN DONT SHINE collaborated with Vizier on the artwork for "Power To Live", which includes a strictly limited art collaboration featuring hand-signed posters autographed by Vizier, custom sticker sheets, and ultra-limited trucker caps.

Each piece was created specifically for the release and features original artwork from the album.

Musically, "Power To Live" channels SUN DONT SHINE's signature blend of heaviness and atmospheric nuance, with Windstein's crushing guitar tone locked against Hickey's haunting hooks, Kelly's precise yet unrestrained drumming, and Strange's thunderous low end creating a landscape that's as brooding as it is anthemic.

With its raw energy and chemistry between band members driving the sound, SUN DONT SHINE continues to define their future with unflinching emotionality.

The album will be released on April 1 via Corpse Paint Records.
