Tarja Turunen has announced her new solo album Frisson Noir, set for release in 2025. The album features a diverse sonic landscape centered on Tarja’s distinctive voice, blending emotional vulnerability with operatic power. It includes orchestral arrangements, choirs, and layered instrumentation that explore themes of fear, resilience, identity, and transformation. The record features special guest appearances by Dani Filth of Cradle Of Filth, Apocalyptica, Marko Hietala of Nightwish, and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers. The album is mixed by Grammy-winning producer Neal Avron and will be available in CD Digipak, Black 2LP Gatefold, and Limited Purple 2LP Gatefold formats, with the first pressings finished with copper foil and logo embossing. Exclusive editions, including a Collectors Box Set with vinyl, booklets, postcards, and a signed fine art print, are available through the official album store.

Tarja will launch the International Frisson Live Tour 2026 on September 30 in Berlin at Huxleys Neue Welt. The tour will include stops in Hamburg, Rostock, Dresden, Jena, Munich, Innsbruck, Pratteln, Lindau, Cologne, Frankfurt, Osnabrück, Gersthofen, and Vienna. Full dates and additional cities will be announced later. The tour marks Tarja’s continued commitment to live performances, which have long defined her career and built a global fanbase.
