Italian symphonic power metallers Temperance have announced their seventh album, Arcani, set for release on October 16, 2026 via Napalm Records.
The album is structured around the Tarot deck, with each track corresponding to a Major Arcana card.
The release marks a deep personal and narrative evolution for the band, featuring 13 new songs that explore themes of mortality, human connection, and spiritual transformation.
The album opens with 'The Fool,' an untitled track that establishes the band's signature symphonic sound and powerful vocal duets.
'The Magician – Into The Fire' features male vocals and showcases a blazing anthem, while 'Death – Right Before We Die' draws from a real-life incident during a dinner at a restaurant in Tallinn, Estonia, during Sabaton Cruise 2024.
The track includes intense vocals and high-note passages, reflecting the band’s emotional depth.
Other key tracks include 'The Tower – Lean Into Fear,' a hard rock song symbolizing chaos and liberation, and 'The Devil – Sin Sin Sin,' a dramatic composition with a rousing chorus.
'Temperance – Forgiveness' offers a balanced, encouraging message, followed by 'The Chariot – Alla Ricerca Dell’America,' which includes Italian lyrics and a Swedish line honoring vocalist Kristin Starkey.
'The Star – Surrender Control' and 'Wheel Of Fortune – Come And Call Me' explore themes of hope and change, while 'The Moon – The Man Of Moonlight' and 'The Hanged Man – Petrichor' blend acoustic elements with heavy metal and operatic vocals.
Arcani will be available in multiple formats, including a limited 100-copy inkspot black and red gatefold LP, a black gatefold LP with lyric sheet, a digipak CD, a jewelcase instrumental CD, and digital versions.
The full album lineup includes 'The World,' a closing acoustic track with predominantly female vocals, reinforcing the sense of culmination and forward momentum.
Temperance will also perform as openers for Kamelot and Exit Eden on the European leg of the Dark Asylum World Tour this fall.
