Chuck Billy from Testament and Bobby Blitz from Overkill recently spoke with host Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM's Trunk Nation, promoting their upcoming tour together.
During the interview, Bobby mentioned that new music from Overkill is on the way and Chuck talks about the tour setlist.
They both also discuss what's next for their bands this summer.
In a discussion about new Overkill music, Bobby Blitz revealed to Eddie Trunk that they're always working on new music and aim to record it at the end of their tour.
He mentioned that he still has to add some melody lines, harmonies, and lyrics, but they're looking at a July '27 tour date for its release.
When asked about what determines the rest of Testament's setlist, Chuck Billy explained that it's a group thing with the band trying to mix things up by digging deep songs from their past albums.
They've been focusing on their current albums plus their classic ones like Legacy and Practice.,Testament will play four or five songs from their album Para Bellum on this tour.
After the run with Overkill, Chuck Billy mentioned that Testament will go to Europe twice this summer.
They skipped last year's festival season so they're making up for it by performing at multiple festivals this year.
The band is also planning to get in the studio early next year to work on their next album.,Overkill's Bobby Blitz confirmed that they'll be releasing new music and are planning a string of tour dates around Europe in June, July, and August.
They're aiming to run into Chuck Billy and Testament during these shows for a full working feel.
