Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick and acclaimed guitarist Ardeshir Farah of Strunz & Farah recently teamed up to produce two jazz-rock tracks, 'Eddie's Madness' and '171 Mph'.
The collaboration was a long-awaited one, as the two musicians had discussed playing together for years.
Notably, this marked Farah's return to electric guitar after a 45-year hiatus.
Speaking with journalist Bryan Reesman, Farah expressed his admiration for Skolnick's versatility in various music styles.
Skolnick, who frequently performs at The Baked Potato in L.A., praised the venue as a hub for musicians and shared anecdotes about playing alongside other esteemed guitarists like Steve Vai.
In their collaborative effort, Skolnick and Farah showcased unique musical influences and patterns, setting them apart from more common styles.
Skolnick also expressed interest in exploring world music further, possibly with a second Planetary Coalition album or a more scaled-down acoustic release.
