Swedish death/thrash metal band The Crown has announced their final year of live shows, which will culminate with farewell performances around the world.

This past Friday, May 22, the band performed their last ever show in The United States at Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore, MD., where fan-filmed video of the entire set can be seen below.

The Crown played a 12-song set that included "Killing Star (Superbia Luxuria XXX)" and other classics.

The band has stated that they want to go out on their own terms after 35 years of creativity and death metal mayhem.

They plan to perform farewell shows around the world, meeting fans one last time and celebrating everything the band has stood for: energy, passion, and the love of extreme music.

Each show will be a tribute to the past, the present, and the unstoppable spirit that's fueled The Crown since day one.

"We want to go out on our own terms," says an update from the Swedish legends.

"2026 will not only mark our final year of live shows – it will be the final chapter for the band." The farewell shows in 2026 are expected to be a grand finale, and fans are urged to follow BraveWords Records on YouTube to catch any future videos by Alcatrazz, Bangalore Choir, Voices of Extreme, Crimson Glory.
