In a new interview with Gustavo Maiato of Brazil's Whiplash.net, former JUDAS PRIEST singer Tim "Ripper" Owens addressed the issue of his era of the band's studio albums not being available on major streaming services.

Owens mentioned that it makes no sense to not have them available to fans and expressed a desire to see them re-released.

He also noted that he had played songs from those albums during his solo tours, which had gone over well with audiences.

In response to a question about why JUDAS PRIEST drummer Scott Travis attributed the issue to the demise of the record label that released Owens-era albums, Owens stated that it's hard to draw new fans to the music when it's not available on streaming services.

He also acknowledged that Iron Maiden, which he praised for its effective management and marketing, had played songs from Blaze Bayley's era in their live shows.

Owens went on to describe his experiences with JUDAS PRIEST as "fantastic," recalling that he had been part of the band when it went into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

However, he acknowledged that his former bandmates have ignored him since his departure from PRIEST.

Owens also expressed a desire to see Rob Halford perform songs from his era during JUDAS PRIEST's live shows.

The interview touches on various topics related to JUDAS PRIEST's history and Owens' experiences with the band, providing insight into the perspectives of one of heavy metal's most influential vocalists.
