In a new interview with Gastão Moreira of Kazagastão, Alex Van Halen spoke about the album he is developing with Steve Lukather of Toto.

The project revolves around unreleased material created during sessions intended for the next Van Halen album before Eddie's passing.

Alex revealed that most of the work, including drums, guitar, and bass recordings, is already done.

Much of the bass was handled by Wolfgang Van Halen, while what's missing now is a vocalist to complete the songs.

Alex considers Steve Lukather 'the connective tissue' who can facilitate the project and help it reach fruition in a way that honors his brother's legacy.

The album will be built around previously unreleased material, which Alex calls 'embryonic,' but aims to bring it up to the quality level of where he left it with Eddie.
