In a recent interview with Laughing Monkey With Shawn Ratches, VENOM INC.'s bassist/vocalist Tony 'Demolition Man' Dolan and guitarist Curran Murphy spoke about plans for the band to release a follow-up to its second album, "There's Only Black", which came out in 2022.

The new mini-LP is currently being mastered, and Dolan explained that the band has chosen to release it as an introduction to their identity as VENOM INC., rather than waiting to release a full-length album.

Murphy noted that the band has a number of classic VENOM songs that they have been playing live, but not recording, which has led to some criticism from fans who feel that VENOM INC.

is trying to pass off these songs as their own.

Dolan responded by stating that while he understands the criticism, the band feels that it is okay to play these songs live and still maintain their distinct identity.

VENOM INC.'s current lineup consists of Dolan and Murphy alongside drummer Marc Jackson.

The news comes after former NEVERMORE and ANNIHILATOR guitarist Curran Murphy officially joined VENOM INC.

as a replacement for the band's founding guitarist Jeff 'Mantas' Dunn, who had announced his departure due to health issues.

The interview also touched on the ongoing lawsuit between VENOM's iconic co-founders, Conrad Lant and Anthony Bray, against Plastic Head Music Distribution Ltd over licensing agreements for official merchandise featuring the band's designs.

The dispute revolves around whether or not these designs are owned by either party.
