Shadow Kingdom Records has announced October 30th as the international release date for Primordial Rites, the debut album by Virginia-based thrash metal band Vigil, on CD and vinyl LP formats. The album marks the band's first full-length release and showcases a powerful, unapologetic thrash sound that channels the energy of early Exodus, Whiplash, Sacrifice, Blood Feast, Hallows Eve, and Znowhite. The nine-song runtime spans 40 minutes, moving fluidly between aggressive thrash passages and mid-tempo moments, with consistent momentum and no reliance on technical or progressive elements.

The band's vocals, delivered by Jessica, are described as commanding and unrelenting, forming a central pillar of the album's impact.
