FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl has revealed that his daughter Violet is making waves in the music scene.

In a recent interview with SiriusXM's Lithium, Grohl discussed Violet's musical endeavors, stating that she had taught herself to play instruments by ear and written songs on her own.

When Violet was 13, she expressed a desire to make a record, and Grohl advised her to write her own songs.

Without any involvement from him, Violet went on to release her debut album 'Be Sweet To Me' on May 29 via Auroura/Republic.

The LP was recorded in the style of the Wrecking Crew session players from the 1960s and 1970s, featuring a mix of fuzz rock riffs and psychedelic soundscapes.

Violet's music draws inspiration from the alternative scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s, with influences ranging from PIXIES to ALICE IN CHAINS.

The album includes tracks such as 'THUM', which was influenced by old-school packaging, and the haunting 'What's Heaven Without You', which explores themes of internal monologue and self-protection.

Violet's love of film, particularly David Lynch's work, is also apparent throughout the album.

'Be Sweet To Me' will be available on vinyl as a Record Store Day exclusive seven-inch release alongside an alternate version of the track 'Swallowtail'.

The album showcases Violet's unique voice and style, as she navigates her own path in the music world while being proudly uninvolved by her father.
