Danish rockers VOLBEAT have solidified their lineup with the hiring of longtime touring guitarist Flemming C.
Lund as their new permanent lead guitarist.
This move comes after the band parted ways with Rob Caggiano in June 2023.
Lund, who has been filling in for Caggiano on VOLBEAT's current tour, has officially taken over the role and will continue to perform alongside vocalist Michael Poulsen and other band members.
The news marks a significant change for the band, but Poulsen expressed gratitude towards Caggiano during their 10-year tenure together.
"We're very happy to announce that after this past year of touring and laying down some scorching solos on [VOLBEAT's latest album] 'God Of Angels Trust' we've finally 'put a ring on it' and Flemming C.
Lund is officially the permanent lead guitar player in VOLBEAT." stated Poulsen via social media.
With their current tour set to continue this summer, fans can expect to see Lund bring his expertise to the stage alongside other Danish rockers TEMPLE OF SCORN and THE ARCANE ORDER.
"The cat's out of the bag! Sometimes unexpected things happen in life and this must be said to be one of them: I will be playing stand-in in VOLBEAT for Rob Caggiano on lead guitar on VOLBEAT's upcoming summer tour," Lund shared in a statement, highlighting his excitement about joining the band.
As VOLBEAT embarks on their extensive tour with an impressive lineup, fans can look forward to enjoying the high-energy performances and witnessing this new chapter unfold.
