Zion Bittenbender has addressed being fired from Vulvodynia following sexual assault allegations.

The band went radio silent after initially announcing Bittenbender as their new vocalist, then had him removed from the Defeated Sanity tour due to venue threats over false rumors about him.

Despite claims that they stood by an innocent friend and were removed for financial reasons, Vulvodynia has parted ways with Bittenbender amid allegations of misconduct.

The band stated this decision was made after careful consideration and a desire to maintain their values and respect their fans, peers, and the wider community.

Vulvodynia will no longer be participating in the upcoming US tour with Defeated Sanity and will begin finding a new vocalist.

Lwandile will handle vocal duties for their remaining shows this year.\ In response, Bittenbender shared screenshots of his communications with the band and manager Lyn around the time the allegations were made public.

He also posted about being sent home from the tour due to venue threats and not wanting to risk cancellations or financial losses.

The band's statement apologized for any delay in addressing the situation, took responsibility for how it was initially handled, and acknowledged that aspects of their response were not managed properly.\ A voice note shared by Kris Xenopoulos stated that people are worried about money, but they're here to make music and prove themselves.

However, Vulvodynia's removal from the tour was solely due to financial concerns, not any personal decision or stance on Bittenbender's innocence.

The band has removed themselves from collaborative posts with Bittenbender and is currently looking for a new vocalist.
