The Epstein files have been a plague that the United States, and honestly, the rest of the world can't seem to shake.
As we're fed dribs and drabs of what the FBI and DOJ have compiled during their investigations, more names have come to light, including Wasserman Media Group's CEO, Casey Wasserman.
The company's extensive reach in the music industry makes this news significant for many artists.
Wasserman has announced he will be selling his talent agency.
Here are some reactions from artists who were previously represented by WMG.
In a statement posted on social media, Dropkick Murphys vocalist Ken Casey denied any wrongdoing and stated that they had parted ways with the agency before news of Wasserman's involvement in the Epstein files came to light.
"We love our agents.
They are great partners," said the band.
"We signed with them years before they merged with Wasserman.
It saddens us to part ways with them, but the namesake of the agency is in the Epstein files so… we GONE." Other artists have also publicly distanced themselves from WMG due to its association with Wasserman.
Dying Wish stated that they had never had direct contact with Wasserman himself, and were only represented by his company through a separate agent.
They expressed their commitment to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse and trafficking.
Several alternative, rock, and metal artists have made statements about separating themselves from WMG before Wasserman's announcement of departure.
These include: * Dropkick Murphys * Dying Wish * Hot Mulligan * Split Chain A non-complete list of alternative, metal, and rock artists that were previously represented by WMG can be found below.
