AVENGED SEVENFOLD's alter ego project STATICA has released the official music video for the song 'Statica'.
The clip, directed by Lance Drake, was shot on location in Northridge, California.
The track is taken from the four-song EP titled 'Statica', which was surprise released a week ago.
The EP features the tracks 'Lights', 'Statica', 'Rejoice' and 'Ashes', and has a running time of 18 minutes and 7 seconds.
It marks a new musical direction for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, incorporating robotic vocals, sci-fi synths, and electronic dance beats.
The project's release continues AVENGED SEVENFOLD's tradition of independent releases, with no official commentary from the band to date.
The EP follows up on the band's 2023 album 'Life Is But A Dream...', which was produced by Joe Barresi and mixed by Andy Wallace in the Poconos, Pennsylvania.
The album explores existential themes and the anxiety of death.
Additionally, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and GOOD CHARLOTTE have joined for a 16-city North American tour promoted by Live Nation.
The trek began July 25 in Ridgedale, Missouri and concluded August 27 at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, with stops in major U.S.
and Canadian cities.
The band previously postponed its fall 2025 Latin American tour due to M. Shadows' vocal injury.
The tour was originally set to begin September 25, 2025, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but was canceled after M. Shadows was diagnosed with vocal fold hematoma—a condition where a blood vessel in the vocal cord ruptures and leaks blood under the lining.
