South Africa's deathcore band VULVODYNIA has released a new standalone single, "Twin Tyrants", via Unique Leader Records. The track is the first release featuring Maya Pobst as vocalist, who joined the band in July. Pobst is a former member of BURIAL PATH. The single marks VULVODYNIA's first official release with the new vocalist.

Formed in 2014, VULVODYNIA has consistently pushed the boundaries of slam metal, aiming to transcend the label of "another slam band." Their debut full-length, "Cognizant Castigation" (2014), set the tone for their aggressive sound, which evolved through releases like 2024's "Entabeni".

The new single was co-written by Pobst and her partner, with all elements of the track developed through collaborative effort among the band members. The lyrics explore themes of self-identity and personal transformation.

VULVODYNIA continues to build on its legacy of heavy, uncompromising music with the addition of Pobst, signaling a new phase in the band's trajectory.
