Wednesday 13 and John 5 have announced a joint touring season for summer and fall 2027. The collaboration marks the first time John 5's band, THE CREATURES, will feature a vocalist. The duo has confirmed their first two shows for 2027: Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany from July 28 to 31, and the Brutal Assault extreme metal festival in Jaroměř, Czech Republic, from August 4 to 7. The partnership began through shared connections, including their booking agent Dan DeVita. Wednesday 13 and John 5 have toured together in the past and have long admired each other's work, citing mutual respect for bands such as MĂ–TLEY CRĂśE, MARILYN MANSON, and ROB ZOMBIE. The collaboration was inspired by the fact that these bands are central to Wednesday 13's musical identity.
John 5, a guitarist with over 30 years of experience, has performed with artists including Rob Zombie, David Lee Roth, and Meat Loaf. His latest solo album, "Ghost", was released in October 2025. In 2026, he toured both with MĂ–TLEY CRĂśE and on a solo tour across Europe.
The joint tour will include performances across Europe and North America, with no setlist details yet available. The shows will feature John 5 performing songs from his extensive catalog, including tracks from Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and MĂ–TLEY CRĂśE, with Wednesday 13 providing vocals. Both artists have expressed excitement about the project, emphasizing its significance and the personal connection between them.
