In a new interview with Scott Rizzuto on his radio show "The Rizzuto Show" on the 105.7 The Point radio station in St.

Louis, Wolfgang Van Halen discussed his songwriting process for his latest album, "The End".

The Grammy Award-nominated songwriter and vocalist revealed that he believes the songs reveal themselves to him through the process rather than him creating them.

He also mentioned that some of the musical ideas conceived during the songwriting process but never fully realized may end up on future albums or not at all.

Wolfgang explained that having a tight schedule helps him stay focused and creative, saying, "It's tough.

I think having Elvis there is really that… He's shockingly good at writing out the schedule." The host noted that some of the musical ideas from the album may end up on future records.

Wolfgang agreed, adding that he often finds himself in a situation where they have too many ideas and not enough time to complete them all.

Wolfgang also talked about his experience recording at the legendary 5150 studio with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette.

He mentioned that some of the songs were down to the wire, but it was just funny how that happens.

The album features Wolfgang on guitar and lead vocals, Frank Sidoris (SLASH FEATING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS) on guitar, Jon Jourdan on guitar and vocals, Garrett Whitlock (TREMONTI) on drums, and Ronnie Ficarro on bass.

"The End" was released last October via BMG.

The album features a mix of hard rock and progressive sounds that showcase Wolfgang's skill as a songwriter and musician.
