In a new interview with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation, Wolfgang Van Halen addressed the ongoing project involving his uncle Alex Van Halen and guitarist Steve Lukather.
\tWolfgang expressed uncertainty about the exact nature of the material being worked on, stating that he hasn't played any guitar parts yet.
The guitarist clarified that while he and his father had spent several years jamming in the studio together, he didn't know what specific songs or ideas would be used from those sessions.
\According to Wolfgang, \tHe was there in a support position to assist Alex with whatever he needed, rather than being directly involved in any musical decisions.
The project aims to complete some unreleased material recorded by Eddie Van Halen prior to his passing, which includes guitar and bass parts already laid down.
\tWhat remains is for Steve Lukather to work with the pre-existing tracks to shape them into a cohesive album.
