Progressive rock legends YES will release their 24th studio album, "Aurora", on June 12 via InsideOut Music/Sony Music.

The current lineup of YES features guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, lead vocalist Jon Davison, bassist Billy Sherwood, and drummer Jay Schellen.

When working on "Aurora", the band's process was loose and exploratory.

They started with musical fragments that gradually came together to form the album.

The title track was among the early sketches, and it quickly became clear that the name carried certain gravity, suggesting light, emergence, and vastness.

"Aurora" began taking shape after the "Classic Tales Of Yes" tour ended in 2024.

Rather than gathering in a single studio for months, the band worked organically through collaboration and constant communication.

Downes and Howe often acted as the central creative axis, with Howe serving as the producer.

Each track on "Aurora" carries its own character, echoing classic YES approaches while pushing into new territory.

With their 24th studio album, YES demonstrate not just longevity but a sustained curiosity to explore, refine, and discover their capacity to create.

Howe comments: "Making this record was joyful, a chance to play, explore, and give everything to the music." The album will be available in various formats, including limited deluxe editions featuring stunning artwork by Roger Dean and Freya Dean.

A Blu-ray featuring Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Surround Sound, and 24-bit stereo mixes is also included.
