In an interview conducted at the Monsters Of Rock festival in São Paulo, Brazil earlier this month, legendary Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen spoke about his plans for the follow-up to his latest album, "Parabellum", which was released last July via Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group.

He revealed that he has just finished recording a new album and described its musical direction as very much in line with what fans expect from him.

Malmsteen also addressed the topic of vocals on his upcoming LP, stating that there will be about four songs featuring his own vocals, while the rest of the album will be instrumental.

The guitarist emphasized that the album is designed to fit perfectly on a vinyl record and noted its exact length of 46 minutes.

When discussing his creative process, Malmsteen highlighted his ability to work freely in his own studio, allowing him to make music according to his own inspiration rather than external expectations.

He also acknowledged the influence of Italian violinist Niccolò Paganini's philosophy on making passionate music that resonates with others.

Regarding his touring plans, Malmsteen announced European dates for June and July, followed by a trip to Asia in September and then shows across the United States from October to November.

This new information comes after the release of his 2025 live album, "Tokyo Live", recorded during his 40th-anniversary world tour at Tokyo's Zepp DiverCity on May 11, 2024."
