In an interview with "Rock Talk", former IRON MAIDEN guitarist Dennis Stratton spoke about the band's upcoming induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Dennis, who played with the emerging NWOBHM act from December 1979 until October 1980, will be inducted into the Hall Of Fame alongside the band's current lineup of singer Bruce Dickinson, bassist Steve Harris and guitarists Adrian Smith, Dave Murray and Janick Gers.

Stratton mentioned that IRON MAIDEN will miss the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony this fall due to scheduled dates in Australia.

Asked how he feels about finally being inducted into the Rock Hall, Dennis said, "Well, absolutely, absolutely over the moon, to be honest." He added that the decision lies with the band and management, but expressed excitement for the fans.

Stratton also discussed IRON MAIDEN's recently released feature documentary "Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition", which charts the band's remarkable five-decade journey.

He noted that while he enjoyed the film for the fans, certain parts were left out, particularly regarding the band's early days.

The guitarist concluded by stating his respect for the band and management's decision, but expressed a sense of finality with his own career coming to an end.

Stratton also touched on the fact that iconic hard rock and metal bands like MOTÖRHEAD have yet to be recognized by the institution.
