Vasalla is a Japanese visual kei band formed in 1991. Though they have only few fans outside of Japan, Vasalla is a classic semi-popular group that had a few lineup and style changes. Their most notable member would be guitarist SIN, who joined in 1994 but later left and joined the Matina band Ｓｙｎｄｒｏｍｅ and was in D for a short time. Vasalla, who had always been mainly a metal act despire their look, adopted a more romantic sound, closer to gothic and visual kei after SHUN, SIN, and YUKI quit in 1999. The new lineup with kaie and Rinne disbanded in November of 2000 due to Hideki's health problems. After 2002, Vasalla would hold a few one night revival lives almost every year up until 2015 where they have resumed activities with the most known member lineup: Hideki, Sin, Shun, Leaya, and Keisuke. Nowadays, Vasalla is still performing liveshows and participating in many omnibus albums, but they do not release much new material.
