AIRBOURNE has released a new single, 'Here She Comes,' which is co-written with Bryan Adams and Mutt Lange.
The track, set to be featured on the band's forthcoming self-titled studio album, is scheduled for release on September 4 via Spinefarm.
The album marks a significant milestone in AIRBOURNE's discography, with the band describing it as 'the greatest body of work in the AIRBOURNE canon' and a 'real blockbuster sh*t' that distills everything they stand for into one place.
The song was inspired by a tropical storm that struck Music Farm Studio in Byron Bay, southeastern Australia, during recording sessions.
"It was like a hurricane came through," recalls drummer Ryan O'Keeffe.
"I remember screaming, 'Get away from the windows!' Streetie [bassist Justin Street] was sleeping in an old bus outside the studio, and a tree fell right next to it and almost crushed him!" The lyrics — 'Here she comes, raising a hurricane, there she goes blowing my mind' — reflect both the literal storm and the band's creative response, evolving into a double entendre that celebrates both women and the raw energy of rock.
The new single follows a string of previous releases, including 'Gutsy,' 'Christmas Bonus,' 'Alive After Death (Last Plane Out),' and 'Kid In A Candy Store,' with 'Here She Comes' now being promoted as a festival-ready anthem featuring a powerful guitar solo and soaring vocal delivery.
