Alissa White-Gluz, former vocalist of ARCH ENEMY and Canadian extreme metallers THE AGONIST, has confirmed the formation of a new all-woman metal band called BLUE MEDUSA.

The group features guitarists Alyssa Day of MINDSCAR and ABSENTIA, and Dani Sophia of ex-Till Lindemann.

Bassist Alicia Vigil of DRAGONFORCE and VIGIL OF WAR and drummer Delaney Jaster of STITCHED UP HEART will also participate in BLUE MEDUSA's live performances.

The band has released two singles: "Checkmate" and "Flying Monkey".

White-Gluz has also confirmed her role as the first-ever frontwoman for DRAGONFORCE, with the group making its official live debut with her on May 9 at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida.

She described the performance as a meaningful experience, noting that DRAGONFORCE's high-energy style aligns well with her vocal range and artistic ambitions.

BLUE MEDUSA represents White-Gluz's primary creative focus, which she describes as a long-held passion.

She emphasized that the band embodies her personal musical identity and artistic expression.

In contrast, her collaboration with DRAGONFORCE offers a distinct performance energy that challenges and expands her vocal capabilities.

White-Gluz previously joined ARCH ENEMY in 2014 and released four studio albums with the band: "War Eternal" (2014), "Will To Power" (2017), "Deceivers" (2022), and "Blood Dynasty" (2025).

ARCH ENEMY concluded its final show with White-Gluz on November 15, 2025, at the Düsseldorf concert during the European "Blood Dynasty" tour with AMORPHIS, ELUVEITIE, and GATECREEPER.

The band officially parted ways with White-Gluz on that same day."
