Annihilator guitarist and founder Jeff Waters has announced a new community experience, describing it as a long-time project dedicated to fans.

The initiative, shared via Instagram, will launch with a save-the-date message.

The announcement marks a fresh direction for the band, emphasizing fan engagement beyond music releases.

In April, earMUSIC released remastered editions of Annihilator’s 1999 album Criteria For A Black Widow and 2001’s Carnival Diablos.

Both albums are now available on 180g black double vinyl at 45rpm and as CD Digipak editions, featuring refreshed artwork and new sleeve notes by Alex Milas, based on interviews with Jeff Waters.

The reissues highlight the band’s technical precision and thrash metal legacy.

Founded in 1984, Annihilator remains Canada’s most successful heavy metal export and one of thrash metal’s most technically accomplished acts.

After the 1997 album Remains, Waters reevaluated the band’s direction after witnessing Slayer’s performance in a small venue.

This inspired a return to core thrash elements, leading to the 1999 release Criteria For A Black Widow, which featured tracks like 'Bloodbath' and 'Back To The Palace'.

Carnival Diablos, released in 2001, followed with a revitalized lineup including Joe Comeau.

The album captured a muscular, unapologetic sound that blended classic thrash intensity with refined musicianship.
