Annihilator has confirmed the release of a vault of rare items for fans, with all contents set to be revealed on September 1. The announcement follows a recent teaser posted on the band’s Instagram, where guitarist and founder Jeff Waters stated that every cover, booklet, and piece of gear has a story behind it. The vault includes new releases and previously unseen content, fulfilling fan anticipation of deeper material from the band’s history.

In April, earMUSIC launched a comprehensive revival of Annihilator’s catalogue, remastering the late-90s albums Criteria For A Black Widow and Carnival Diablos. Both albums were reissued on 180g black double vinyl at 45rpm and as CD Digipak editions, featuring refreshed artwork and new sleeve notes by Alex Milas, based on interviews conducted specifically for this series.

Founded in 1984 by Jeff Waters, Annihilator remains Canada’s most successful heavy metal export and one of the genre’s most technically accomplished acts. The band’s 1989 breakthrough album Alice In Hell is widely regarded as a landmark thrash release. After a period of experimentation with 1997’s Remains, Waters reoriented the band toward raw intensity, inspired by Slayer’s live performance. This shift led to the 1999 release of Criteria For A Black Widow, featuring classic tracks like "Bloodbath" and "Back To The Palace", and the 2001 album Carnival Diablos, which solidified the band’s return to heavy, unfiltered thrash.
