In a new interview with Paulieflix, guitarist/vocalist Steve 'Lips' Kudlow of Canadian metal legends ANVIL shared some introspective thoughts on mortality and the fleeting nature of music careers.

During the conversation, Lips stressed the importance of taking advantage of the present moment to enjoy live music while one's favorite bands are still performing.

He noted that his own days are numbered, pointing out that he recently turned 70 and acknowledged that death is an inevitability.

While discussing retirement, Lips made it clear that there's no age limit for musicians, stating that it ends not when you retire, but when you stop being able to perform.

The guitarist also expressed a sense of urgency, urging fans to catch their favorite bands live while they can, citing recent losses in the music community, such as former MANOWAR guitarist Ross The Boss.

ANVIL will embark on a North American tour in June 2026 with MIDNITE HELLION as support, featuring fan-favorite songs from their early releases and beyond.

Their latest studio album 'One And Only' was released in June 2024 via AFM Records, recorded with longtime producer Martin Mattes Pfeiffer and Jörg Uken at Uken's Soundlodge studios in Germany.

The ANVIL rockumentary 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil', directed by Sacha Gervasi and produced by Rebecca Yeldham, was released in 2008.

This film follows Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner as they pursue their musical dreams in the face of adversity.
