ARCH ENEMY's Daniel Erlandsson missed the band's October 6 concert at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona, after falling ill. A post-concert photo shared by the band shows the lineup with Hank Lin of THROWN INTO EXILE stepping in as a temporary replacement. Lin learned the set in under three hours and performed without a soundcheck or rehearsal, according to the band's statement. The group thanked Lin for his performance and confirmed Daniel will return to perform in Salt Lake City on Thursday night.
The announcement follows a recent shift in ARCH ENEMY's vocal lineup. Lauren Hart, who joined the band in March 2026 as a replacement for Alissa White-Gluz, has been embraced by fans during initial shows in China and Japan. Both Erlandsson and guitarist Michael Amott confirmed Hart has a natural presence and a deep connection to the band's history, noting she knew all the songs from the start. They emphasized that Hart brings her own style while honoring the band's legacy, including the iconic era of Angela Gossow.
The band confirmed they are not planning a full album release in the near term but will continue working on new material. A short break is scheduled in September before touring continues through October and November in the United States. A new demo session is expected to begin soon. No official plans for a new studio album have been confirmed.
Lauren Hart described her first show in Beijing in March 2026 as a dream come true, citing a deep emotional connection to the band's early music. She recalled being struck by the sound of the original vocalist, Angela Gossow, on the album 'Wages Of Sin,' and began screaming as a fan, eventually leading to her journey into the band. Angela Gossow, who retired from the band in 2014, remains involved as business manager and has not considered a return to the group.
