Rock pioneer Billy Idol has unveiled the official video for his song “John Wayne,” featuring Alison Mosshart.

The clip pays homage to westerns and spaghetti westerns, with Idol stating it was inspired by his love of these genres.

In a message accompanying the video, Idol thanks Steven Sebring for directing the music video and praises Mosshart's spirit in bringing the track to life.

The song is set to appear on Idol's album Dream Into It.

Billy Idol will be embarking on a tour this summer, kicking off at Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania on August 7.

He will also be performing a week-long residency at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas from August 28 to September 5.
