Dutch black metal project Black Door will release its sophomore full-length, In The Shadows Of A Funerary Gleam, on August 28 via Wolves of Hades.
The album is said to be a more fierce and haunting effort than the band's debut, with Black Door mastermind Vestibulum describing the music as "a resurgence not embodied by necromancy" but rather as spark for a new tomorrow forged by Promethean fires rising stalwart towards a reinvigorated future.
In The Shadows Of A Funerary Gleam delves into the dimensions between life and death, nostalgia and oblivion, with compositions unfolding as chapters of a singular journey through the funerary mist of forgotten kingdoms inhabited by restless specters.
The album will be released on LP, CD, MC & Digital and features cover art created by Grave Bastard.
A tracklisting is also included, featuring songs such as 'Grand Opening Of The Carnival Of Damned Spirits', 'In The Shadows Of A Funerary Gleam' and 'Forged By Promethean Fire'.
Vestibulum has handled all instrumentation and vocals, with additional support from N.
