British extreme metal band CARCASS has postponed their Australia and New Zealand tour, originally scheduled for 2024, due to a family situation affecting drummer Dan Wilding. The band confirmed the decision in a social media statement released on September 2. Wilding is prioritizing time with his family, and the group has not disclosed further details about the situation.

The tour, which was also set to include dates in China and India, will be rescheduled. All existing tickets remain valid for the new dates. The rescheduled Australia/New Zealand dates will take place in September 2027: September 7 in Perth at Magnet House with KIMURA, September 9 in Adelaide at Lion Arts Factory with ANGGRATH, September 10 in Melbourne at Northcote Theatre with NEMBUTOLIK, September 11 in Sydney at Liberty Hall with HORMAGAUNT, September 14 in Brisbane at Princess Theatre with CRYPTIVORE, September 15 in Townsville at The Warehouse with PSYCROPTIC and NECROPHAGE, and September 17 in Auckland at Galatos with JUST ONE FIX and SOUL VOID.

CARCASS's latest album, Torn Arteries, released in September 2021 via Nuclear Blast Records, references an old demo from original drummer Ken Owen from the 1980s. The album artwork draws inspiration from classic CARCASS imagery and was created by artist Zbigniew Bielak using time-lapse photography of decaying vegetables, influenced by Japanese Kusôzu art. The band has long been recognized for its pioneering role in death metal and gore-grind, setting foundational standards in the genre over nearly four decades.
