In a new memoir with foreword by Rob Halford and afterword by Randy Blythe, Testament frontman Chuck Billy recounts his life story in two testaments.

Set to release via Permuted Press on November 10, 2026, the book spans from his early days as an eight-month-old infant to his cancer diagnosis at age 38.

The memoir explores Chuck's journey through music, culture, identity, and survival.

It documents his experiences as a thrash metal icon with Testament since the 1980s, his beatings of cancer in 2001 and again in 2002 after undergoing traditional medicine and spiritual healing.

Told through two intertwining narratives – one recounting his life story from infancy to adulthood and another chronicling his fight against cancer – 'Holding My Breath' captures Chuck's unyielding determination.
