Crimson Glory, an American heavy metal band formed in 1983 in Sarasota, Florida, has announced the release of their comeback album, Chasing The Hydra. The album marks a significant return for the band, which was a pioneer of the American progressive metal movement alongside Queensrÿche, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, and Watchtower. The classic line-up, featuring vocalist Midnight, guitarists Jon Drenning and Ben Jackson, bassist Jeff Lords, and drummer Dana Burnell, still includes three of its original members. The band has now added Travis Wills as the new vocalist.

The album, Chasing The Hydra, is set for release in 2026 and has been described as one of the most anticipated heavy metal releases of the year. The record features tracks including Redden The Sun, Broken Together, Angel In My Nightmare, Indelible Ashes, Beyond The Unknown, Armor Against Fate, Pearls Of Dust, and Triskaideka. Crimson Glory has been touring extensively over the past year, and the new album is a direct result of that live activity.
