Crypta Unveils New Track and Launches North American Tour
Brazilian death metal band Crypta has released "A Portrait of Decay," the first track to feature their new lineup. The song, recorded in Belgium in June this year and engineered by Yarne Heylen at Project Zero Studio, showcases the band's evolving sound with aggressive instrumentation and atmospheric vocals. The track is now available worldwide on all streaming platforms and will be offered as a limited 7" vinyl release.
The release coincides with Crypta's North American tour, which begins October 5 in Riverside, CA. The tour includes headline acts Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Septicflesh, and Thrown Into Exile. Dates span from October through November, concluding in Montreal, QC, with additional stops in Canada and the U.S. The tour follows Crypta's 2023 album Shades Of Sorrow, marking a transition into a new musical era.
The band, formed in 2019 by former Nervosa members Fernanda Lira and Luana Dametto, now features guitarists Tainá Bergamaschi and Victoria Villarreal. The music video for "A Portrait of Decay" was written by drummer Luana Dametto and depicts a dreamlike landscape that transitions into isolation and emotional detachment.
All tour dates are confirmed and available in full. The track and tour announcement represent a significant step in Crypta's evolution as a live and recorded act.
