DANKO JONES Announces New Album in Same Style as Previous Works
DANKO JONES has confirmed the release of a new studio album, set to follow the band's signature sound and style.
The album, which will not feature experimental elements, will sound similar to their previous releases and build on the band's established formula.
The project is a continuation of their long-standing creative approach, emphasizing consistency over evolution.
Guitar legend Marty Friedman makes a guest appearance on the single "Diamond In The Rough," which reached No.
32 on the Billboard Canada Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in February.
The album was produced by longtime collaborator Eric Ratz, with bass tracks recorded in Finland by John Calabrese and drums recorded in Toronto by Rich Knox.
The band has previously released ten studio albums, including "Born A Lion," "We Sweat Blood," and "Below The Belt," all of which have been widely praised.
DANKO JONES earned a Juno nomination in 2024 for "Metal/Hard Music Album Of The Year" for "Electric Sounds," marking the band's second nomination in the category.
Formed in Toronto in 1996, the band has maintained a strong presence in the rock scene, with a dedicated international fan base.
The latest album will be released via Perception, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music and Sonic Unyon.
The band has consistently delivered high-energy live performances and has been featured in major media, including EA Sports' "NHL 11" video game in 2010.
The announcement confirms a return to the band's core musical identity, with no changes to their established sound or approach.
The new release follows a decade of creative growth and increased touring intensity since the addition of Rich Knox to the lineup.
The band remains committed to their DIY punk rock roots and continues to deliver energetic, crowd-pleasing rock music.
