Session drummer Darby Todd has performed with ANTHRAX live at the Rock Imperium festival on July 4 2026 in Cartagena Spain.

Todd was called in to fill for longtime drummer Charlie Benante who missed nearly a dozen European shows in late June and early July due to a right hand injury.

Benante had previously missed the May 23 concert at OAKA in Athens Greece as he was touring with PANTERA.

Todd also performed with ANTHRAX at Hellfest on June 20 2026 in Clisson France.

The performance of 'Caught In A Mosh' from behind the kit has been released on YouTube.

ANTHRAX will release its long-awaited twelfth studio album 'Cursum Perficio' on September 18 via Megaforce in the U.S.

and Nuclear Blast in Europe.

The album marks the band's first full-length record in ten years since 2016's 'For All Kings'.

Benante joined ANTHRAX in 1983 and has been the band's drummer since.

He is known for his fast double-kick technique and is credited with helping establish the template for extreme metal and hardcore blast beats.

He also wrote most of the music for ANTHRAX and has created numerous album covers and T-shirt designs for the band.

Todd has an extensive background in live performance having toured with THE DARKNESS Martin Barre Alan Price Gary Moore Kee Marcello Joe Lynn Turner Carl Verheyen Robert Plant Robben Ford and Paul Gilbert among others.

He is active in London where he runs a studio offering remote recording and teaching services.

He holds both U.K.
