Darkthrone has released a special 20th anniversary pressing of its 2006 album The Cult Is Alive. The edition is available in limited marble vinyl and limited cassette tape formats. The album was originally released under the Moonfog label before being reissued through Darkthrone's original label, Peaceville.

The 2006 release marked a creative shift for the band, embracing punk influences more openly, with the lead track 'Too Old Too Cold' signaling the beginning of a new era. The anniversary edition features the original album artwork created by Kim Sølve. The vinyl and cassette editions are available for purchase through dedicated retailers.

Side A includes tracks 'The Cult Of Goliath', 'Too Old Too Cold', 'Atomic Coming', 'Graveyard Slut', and 'Underdogs And Overlords'. Side B features 'Whiskey Funeral', 'De Underjordiske', 'Tyster Pa Gud', 'Shut Up', and 'Forebyggende Krig'. The release celebrates two decades since the original album's debut and highlights the band's continued connection to their roots through their original label.
