Canadian metal maverick Devin Townsend has been speaking with BraveWords about his monumental new album, The Moth.
Townsend revealed that he will embark on the Metamorphosis Solo Tour 2026 – From Punky Brüster To The Moth, a massive undertaking that will see him perform live shows with a stage play and orchestras around the world.
However, Townsend notes that he hasn’t committed to doing these big shows yet due to uncertainty about what people want to hear.
He emphasized that if the response is positive, he’s ready to deliver a unique live experience featuring his band members and a variety of special guests.
This tour will be an opportunity for him to connect with fans who have supported him throughout his career, as well as introduce new listeners to his music.
Townsend has also been in touch with several musicians from seminal punk hardcore bands, with whom he plans to perform live versions of songs from his iconic album Punky Brüster.
The tour will be a chance for him to revisit his past work and showcase the evolution of his sound over the years.
