Canadian musician Devin Townsend has announced the release of a new album titled 'Harmonic Dharma' under the DREAMPEACE banner. The album will be released on Friday, October 16, as a limited-edition CD, initially available to fans during his just-completed 23-date European 'Metamorphosis' tour across 10 countries. Remaining copies will be offered to Devin's Patreon community prior to the album's global streaming release.

The 'Metamorphosis' tour, which took place from September to October, marked Devin Townsend's return to live performance after an indefinite hiatus announced following a North American tour. The tour featured Townsend performing solo with an acoustic guitar, showcasing tracks from his extensive discography across projects including STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, PUNKY BRÜSTER, CASUALTIES OF COOL, and the DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT.

'Harmonic Dharma' follows Townsend's 2019 album 'Empath' and 2022 release 'Lightwork,' and builds on his long-standing work that spans extreme metal, ambient music, and orchestral rock. The album was inspired by Townsend's personal journey of self-reflection and emotional transition, including the end of a nearly four-decade relationship, which has prompted a renewed focus on authenticity and self-acceptance in his creative and personal life.

Townsend has stated that the new work reflects a conscious shift in his internal dialogue, moving from self-doubt to self-affirmation, and that the release of 'Harmonic Dharma' represents a culmination of years of meditation, practice, and sonic experimentation. The album is part of a broader creative evolution that has led Townsend to consider relocating to Spain, signaling a significant personal and professional transition.
